Courtesy photo The LC Thunder 14U fastpitch softball team placed second in the Gold bracket at the Fourth of July Shootout in Spokane July 5-7. In pool play the Thunder were undeafeted. LC Thunder defeated the Spokane Impact 8-4. Lily Carhart and Kylin Chavez each had 2 hits and 2 RBI for the Thunder. LC Thunder defeated Calgary Adrenaline 15-2. Delaney Gosch and Rylie Reagan each had 2 hits and 2 RBI in the win. LC Thunder defeated Frenchtown Fury 6-4, scoring 5 runs in the 4th inning for the win. Delaney Gosch and Rylie Reagan each had 2 hits in the win. To get to the championship game LC Thunder defeated Calgary Kaizen 13-6. Lily Carhart went 3 for 4 with 2 RBI and Abby Moehring went 3 for 3. The Thunder lost the championship game to the Coeur d’Alene Crush. Rylie Reagan had 3 wins against Fury, Impact and Kaizen, striking out 10 in 13 2/3 innings. Brooklyn Wullenwaber had 1 win against Adrenaline with 5 strikeouts.
