MISSOULA, Mont. — Jake Brown and Jackson Scherr had two hits each for the Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen in an 11-2 loss to the Bozeman Bucks in their season opener at the Missoula Mavericks Memorial Day Tournament at Lindborg-Cregg Field on Saturday.

Peyton Childers scored on a wild pitch to tie the game at 2 in the third inning for Coeur d’Alene.

Ben Hubley drove in three runs for Bozeman.

Coeur d’Alene, which had a doubleheader on Friday rained out, faces the Butte Miners today at 2:30 p.m. PDT, then faces the host Missoula Mavericks at 5. Both games are scheduled for Ogren Park at Allegiance Field.

POST FALLS — Tanner McCliment-Call, Ethan Miller and Andrew Davidson had RBIs in the third inning for the Cardinals in a loss to Toyota Baseball in their season opener in the Prairie Memorial Day Tournament at Post Falls High.

Prairie, which had two games rained out on Friday, faces the Eastside Dodgers tonight at 5:30 to conclude pool play, with another game scheduled for Monday at Post Falls.
