Coeur d’Alene returns four of its five players from last year’s state runner-up, and two of them, Brayden Ogle (third) and Jackson Davenport (10th), placed in the top 10. ... Rocky Mountain, the three-time defending state boys champion, shot 313 and finished fourth at last week’s District 3 tournament. Mountain View won with a 300, followed by Eagle at 307 and Boise at 308. ... Kyla Currie of Lake City tied for sixth in 5A girls last year, helping her Timberwolves finish sixth.

Lakeland’s girls finished fourth last year; Sydney Suko, Makayla Higbee and Madison Kelleher are back from that squad.

NOTES: Kellogg is the two-time defending state boys champion, but graduated everyone off last year’s state squad. Credit to the Wildcats and coach Simon Miller for churning out another district champion. ... Kellogg’s girls were third at state last year, after winning state titles in 2016 and ’17. ... The Wildcats produced this year’s district medalists in Kat Rauenhorst and her brother, Archie Rauenhorst. Kat Rauenhorst was third at state last year.
