The name sets the scene. The brand-new neighborhood, Estuary Forest, will offer a variety of home sites nestled near towering trees and a winding private inlet.
It’s the newest, and final, neighborhood to be established at the Dover Bay Waterfront Community at Lake Pend Oreille near Sandpoint. Priority reservations are now available, and buyers will be able to begin construction in late spring 2019.
“There are a wide range of home site sizes — some for smaller cottage-style homes, and home sites up to an acre, so there is a lot of variation,” said John Sletager of Dover Bay Development.
Buyers can bring in their own builders to the development, or Dover Bay can assist in connecting with a builder that best suits your needs. Depending on the site, homes can range in size from 1,500 square feet up to around 4,000 square feet with preference toward a style that utilizes natural siding and craftsman designs.
Prices for the home sites range from $60,000 up to $250,000. Buyers can choose sites on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Sletager said some sites in Estuary Forest will be set in a mix of open fields and trees, while others will incorporate older growth cedar trees and other unique natural elements. All will incorporate views of the incredible North Idaho mountains. The majority of sites will also allow for accessory shops or other exterior structures on the property.
Estuary Forest residents get access to the inlet for kayaks and other small, non-motorized vessels, and the neighborhood connects to the 9 miles of walking and biking trails within the community, which includes picturesque walking bridges, lush vegetation and roaming wildlife. Dover Bay is also home to 9 acres of beach and park areas.
Another huge advantage to Dover Bay neighborhoods — the easy access to Lake Pend Oreille. The Dover Bay Marina Village includes seasonal and short-term moorage options, an outdoor, heated swimming pool and spa open year-round, a fitness center, tennis courts, a full-service seasonal restaurant, market and recreation rentals.
Ski season is here, and with the community just 12 miles from world-class skiing at Schweitzer Mountain Resort, Dover Bay makes for an ideal vacation spot. Luxurious lakefront bungalows are available as vacation rentals near the Marina Village, or visitors can opt to stay in an inviting and spacious condominium at Dover Bay’s newly completed Sandcreek Lofts at the Sandpoint Marina. Located at the heart of downtown Sandpoint, vacationers can enjoy a variety of shopping and dining opportunities there.
Visit www.DoverBayBungalows.com for more information on rental availability. Now through the end of January, Dover Bay is also offering a free third night when you book for two nights at qualifying properties. Some restrictions apply.
