Linda Lee Lantto (Smith)

Linda was born April 24, 1958, to Charles and Beverly Lantto, in Coos Bay, Ore. She was 61.

She was a twin. Unfortunately, her brother, Lonnie Dean, passed away shortly after birth. A short time later, the family relocated to Los Angeles, where Linda was joined by a sister, Lori, in 1959; a brother, Robert (Bob), in 1961, and brother William (Bill), in 1963. The family continued to live in Los Angeles until they moved to Sandpoint, Idaho, in the summer of 1971. In 1978, Linda gave birth to her first daughter, Chrystal Marie. In 1978, Linda married James (Jim) Smith. They had a daughter, Jennifer Ann, in 1979. Linda spent her time living in Sandpoint and the Newport, Wash., area for the next several years before settling in Coeur d’Alene until her passing on May 9, 2019, after a short battle with cancer.

Linda enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She also loved to spend time at the casino, where she would meet many lifelong friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her twin brother and a great-grandson, Finley. She is survived by her father, Charles Lantto; her mother, Beverly Pennington; her sister, Lori (David) Alcantara; brothers Robert Lantto and William (and wife Tammy) Lantto; daughters Chrystal (Lantto) Zarate-Cruz and Jennifer Ann Jewett (Smith); five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
