Nola Kay Mauch, 79

Nola K. Mauch (Page) passed away peacefully on Dec. 22, 2018, at the Schneidmiller North Idaho Hospice House. She was born in Hammond, Ind., on Jan. 14, 1939, to Robert and Lillian (Beyer) Page. Her family moved to Southern California in 1948, where she met and married Jack, her high school sweetheart. They were married for 61 years.

In 1969, she and her family relocated to North Idaho. Here she enjoyed raising her family, gardening, volunteering and sewing. Eventually, they moved to Dalton Gardens, Idaho, where she worked and retired from GTE as an analyst. After her retirement from GTE, she went to work at English Funeral Chapel in Coeur d’Alene as a receptionist secretary for over 10 years, becoming a valued and respected team member.

She was a beloved wife, mother, sister and friend to many. Her hobbies included gardening, traveling, camping, fishing, cross stitching and QUILTING. Her fabulous quilts were recognized locally and nationally. She cherished the friendships these activities brought into her life. She also enjoyed spending a good part of her summers at the cabin on Lake Pend Oreille with her family and dear friends.

Nola is survived by her husband, Jack D. Mauch; her three children, Lisa (Michael) Dixon of Athol, Idaho, Lynda (Michael) Lynn of Otis Orchards, Wash., and Sam (Christina) Mauch of Dalton Gardens. She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, along with her dear brother, Robert L. Page Jr., from Wilbraham, Mass.

She is preceded in death by her father and mother.
