Robert 'Bob' Krall, 88

| September 7, 2024 1:00 AM

Bob Krall passed away Aug. 19, 2024, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, surrounded by his family. He was born Dec. 7, 1935, in Missoula, Mont., to Thomas and Beulah Krall.

The Krall family moved to Spokane, Wash., where Bob graduated from Rogers High School. He worked as an electrician and traveled all over the United States before going to work for and retiring from General Telephone & Electric (GTE) in 1982. After retiring from GTE, he started his own telecommunications consulting company, which took him once again to military bases all over the United States, but mostly in Alaska.

In 1960, Bob married Sheran Gallaher. While traveling and working at military bases throughout the United States, they had two of their four children before settling in Pullman, Wash., adding two more children to the family. In 1972, they all moved to Coeur d’Alene.

Bob was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman. He was working on the Ski Patrol at Aspen when he met Sheran. They continued skiing most of their lives and taught their children to ski as well. Bob was a craftsman. He remodeled and built several of the family homes as well as helping many others with their remodel or construction projects. Bob also loved water skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, camping and, most of all, he loved boating on Lake Pend Orielle on his boat named “SheBobAlong.” He played pickleball and rode his bicycle every day up to the age of 87. Bob and Sheran retired and built a home on the Pend Orielle River in Ione, Wash., for the summers and a home in Yuma, Ariz., for the winters. In 2014, Bob and Sheran divorced and they moved into separate homes in Coeur d’Alene to be closer to their children and remained very good friends, visiting each other just about every day since.

Bob was preceded in death by his mother and father; his brother, TJ; and his sister, Marilyn. Bob is survived by his brother, Jimmy (Marianne) Krall and his sister, Patti (Bob) Lemke; his ex-wife, Sheran Krall; son David Krall; daughter Cheryl Klein; son Mike (Katie) Krall; daughter Lisa (Greg) Sneed; as well as numerous grandchildren: Brittney (TJ), Brooke (David), Marie, Alexandra, Leslie, Chad (Cinnamon), Emily and Blake and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Bob did not want a funeral service but the family wanted a celebration. Please join us to celebrate his life at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2024, at the Hayden Eagles (1520 W. Wyoming Ave., Hayden, Idaho).
