PREP GIRLS BASKETBALL: Trojans fall to Mountain View

| November 23, 2024 1:15 AM

POST FALLS — The battle went from one gym to another on Friday night in Post Falls.

With the Trojans leading 13-10 after the first quarter, the game was moved into the school’s auxiliary gym, where the Mavericks rallied for a 60-55 win.

“It was a good, hard-nosed game,” Post Falls coach Mike Divilbiss said. “We got into foul trouble and made some silly fouls. We just need to play a little smarter at times. But the kids played hard, and I’m excited about this group of kids. We’ll get better and we’ve grown a ton in our games so far.”

Senior Myckenzee Mitley scored 19 points and freshman Annabelle Tucker added 15 for Post Falls (1-3), which hosts Boise today at 1 p.m.

“I’m pleased with our effort and the kids understand what we’re trying to do,” Divilbiss said. “We’re playing hard and getting better.”

Quincy Keller scored 15 points for Mountain View (3-1), which plays at Coeur d’Alene today. The Mavericks were picked to finish ninth in the Southern Idaho Conference.
