Post Falls man sentenced to prison for children abuse
A Post Falls man was sentenced Thursday for sexual abuse of children under the age of 16 and sexual exploitation of children by producing child pornography.
Ethan Augustus Mattson, 19, was sentenced to 15-year prison sentences for each of his crimes with parole eligibility after four years by District Judge Barry McHugh, according to a press release from the Kootenai County Prosecutor's Office.
The conduct occurred in October when Mattson engaged in inappropriate contact with two 14-year-old girls, the release said.
Mattson also recorded himself, or had the girls record him, doing inappropriate things with three 14-year-old girls, the release said.
Sexual abuse of a child under the age of 16 is a felony punishable up to 25 years in prison. Sexual exploitation of a child by producing sexually exploitative material is a felony punishable by up to 30 years in prison.
