Born on Jan. 22, 1968, in Havana, Cuba, Jesús Castillo González was an exceptional man who left an indelible mark on the lives of those around him. 

Childhood and family 

Son of Amado and María Julia, Jesús grew up in a home filled with love and values. Alongside his siblings Idalmi, Sady, Julián and Amado Jr., he learned the importance of family and community. 

Personal life 

Jesús was a loving husband and dedicated father. He was happily married to Aliuska Pérez, with whom he shared a life filled with love and happiness. From this marriage, two precious children were born: Samuel Castillo (2000) and Catherine Castillo (2002). His family was his greatest treasure and source of inspiration, and he always prioritized their well-being and happiness. 

Faith and service 

Jesús was a faithful follower of the Lord's word and dedicated his life to serving others. His sermons touched the hearts of those who listened, and his faith and commitment to the community made him a recognized and beloved leader in Cuba and beyond. His spiritual legacy is a testament to the importance of living a life with purpose and service to others. 

Friendship and community 

Jesús was more than a leader; he was a beloved friend to all. His generous heart and spirit of service made him deserving of the love and respect of his community in Cuba and the family he found in the United States. His presence will be deeply felt by those who love him.

Jesús stood out for his curiosity and ability to learn. He studied technical electrical engineering and carpentry and also focused on language studies. However, his true passion was music, and he learned to play the saxophone on his own.

His passing will leave an irreparable void in the hearts of all those who loved him, especially his wife, Aliuska, and children, Samuel and Catherine, who saw him as a role model and their hero. Funeral service will be 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, at the Coeur d’Alene Seventh-day Adventist Church, 111 E. Locust Ave., Coeur d’Alene, ID. The graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, at the Prairie View Cemetery, 7190 N. Ramsey Road, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
