PLASTIC: Better in the landfill

A couple of years ago I quit putting plastic in my recycle bin. This was after reading about the “Maga Island” of mostly plastic in the Pacific Ocean. It’s now three times the size of France, the contents of which are from Asia and North America. Of the 10 million tons of plastic generated in the U.S. annually, only about 10% is recycled. Ocean fish are now ingesting bits of plastic thinking it’s food, and causing mortality.
So for me, I’m doing more for the environment by putting my plastic in the Coeur d’Alene landfill.
