| April 18, 2024 1:00 AM

Dolores, known to all as Dee, passed away April 12, 2024, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, after a long and happy life of nearly 97 years. She was born in Brigham City, Utah, to Aaron B. and Helen (Guymon) Jeppson. She later moved to Council, Idaho, where she became a young rancher. After the house burned, the family relocated to Boise, Idaho. In 1961, Dee began a career in cosmetology while raising four children: Michal J. Squier, Vanny D. Squier, Kathryn M. Orr (Collin Lamb) and Theresa M. Koss (Douglas).

On Nov. 9, 1968, Dee married Jerry Rowe, a member of the U.S. Army. In 1975, they transferred to San Francisco, Calif., then to Portland, Ore., in 1977, then again in 1983 to Spokane, Wash. She continued cosmetology and enjoyed cooking and reading in her spare time. After Jerry’s retirement from the Army, they divided their time between their home on the Washington coast, Arizona and the golf course in Chewelah, Wash., where Jerry worked as course manager. In 1998, they settled in Coeur d’Alene to be close to family.

Dee was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings and her son, Vanny D. Squier. She is survived by her husband, three children, one sister, three grandsons, three granddaughters, eight great-grandsons, three great-granddaughters and one great-great-grandson.

More than anything, Dee loved spending time with her family.
