REMINDER: Rules for candidate endorsement letters to the editor
As we head into the home stretch of the runup to the Nov. 7 election, here’s a reminder of our rules for letters endorsing or opposing candidates.
We are publishing candidate endorsement or opposition letters from Press subscribers only. This is to ensure our customers have the opportunity to share their knowledge and thoughts on these elections.
The last day The Press will publish candidate letters is Wednesday, Nov. 1.
Rules for candidate letters:
Letters can be no longer than 275 words.
Only one candidate letter per writer.
Don't wait long to submit your letter. Writers who wait until just a few days before the election risk not having their letters published at all.
Subscribers, write your letter and email it to: letters@cdapress.com.
Be sure your name, address and telephone number are on the letter. Your phone number and street address will not be published.
While we prefer letters to be emailed, hand-written and typed letters are allowed. Drop them off at The Press, 215 N. Second St. in downtown Coeur d'Alene, or mail them to: Maureen Dolan, Coeur d'Alene Press, 215 N. Second St., Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814
