JAN. 6: Was not an insurrection
Arrests are still being made for Jan. 6. Liberals proclaim the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the 9/11 attack on the twin towers weren’t as horrific as Jan. 6 protests and the storming of the Capitol by Trump supporters. I say “Baloney.”
The Democrats and some Republicans called it an “insurrection,” a terrorist attack against America. I say it was a peaceful protest that surged out of control — for about four hours.
Did some need to go to jail? Absolutely. Did any need to be classified as terrorists, thrown into prison without legal counsel and many sentenced to years in prison? Absolutely not. The cruel, inhumane treatment of those arrested at that event is indeed one of the greatest injustices to American citizens in our history. (A disturbance without weaponry and no hostages is not an insurrection, it’s a protest.)
Not one death to Capitol police was due to violent action. The only violent death was unarmed Trump supporter Ashley Babbit, murdered by a Capitol police officer. He walked free. The damage to the Capitol was minimal (not a single gun was found). Capitol officers are shown on TV opening doors and removing barriers for protesters. Did the Feds instigate it? We’ll see. President Trump previously asked House Speaker Pelosi for 10,000 National Guard troops — which she refused.
In conclusion, I feel I would’ve been much safer at the Jan. 6 event than in any liberal U.S. sanctuary city or any Antifa/Hamas/Palestinian uprising advocating for Israel’s annihilation. (Way past “protests” here. Perhaps a real “insurrection?”) We’ll see. Let’s laser in on our true threats. Meanwhile, wide-open border ushers in 18,000 illegal Chinese Nationalists, 2023.
