NO EMPATHY, COMPASSION: Response to ‘Wrong message’
You are the one sending the “wrong message.” Definitely, what happened to Israel is horrible — women, children, the elderly — all killed ruthlessly. The kidnappings — awful. It is unthinkable that this should happen to anyone, especially the non-military innocents of a population.
It is no less horrible for the Palestinian women, children, elderly non-militants who have been killed and did not do the killing.
Is your thinking so biased that you can’t see the horror for both? What is wrong with people who can’t open their minds and hearts to see both sides of the suffering?
Israel was given a wonderful gift of a homeland — and well-deserved — with other people who were displaced. I would think the Israelis would say, “Thank you, God, and we will let these other displaced people share our gift.” But no, the war goes on and it is horrible on both sides.
Where is the compassion and empathy for both?
