HAYDEN URBAN RENEWAL: City can implement projects without agency

There is no reason why Hayden cannot implement road, sewer and infrastructure projects on its own without an urban renewal agency. Hayden City Councilman-elect Tom Shafer’s recent My Turn editorial in The Press opposing expansion of the HURA district confirms to me why he will be a good city councilman. I recommend all Hayden residents stop by the HURA open house on Tuesday, Dec. 5 from 4-7 p.m. at Hayden City Hall to tell the HURA board members you’re against their proposed expansion of the HURA district.
