POEM: Signs of the times

we are killing the earth and that’s very wrong

so I’m gonna sing you a song, gas prices are rising inflation has given us

a bubble and prices have doubled, Russia is at war with Ukraine making bombs rain, enough about politics.

let’s move on to global warming, we got a global warning check above your head you can’t see it but the ozone is breaking, and its because people are faking, they don’t make an effort to try, now we’re all gonna die, but it makes welp, that humans are so wasteful, we buy stuff we don’t need, like to feed a family of three, you don’t need to buy more food when you have leftovers, you throw them in the trash try to compost pile let it sit there for a while, and have a big smile because you bought organic food from Walmart, let’s all be smart and buy local, no additives

I’m no narrative in this world, but if we don’t make the right choices

fight for the right voices, the earth you love will be gone, water will be scarce people are dying but if we don’t start trying, in 2022

the earth will be dead like an empty zoo in 2052
