CHART: A healthy exercise

| February 27, 2019 12:00 AM

Thank you for the great article about media bias, chart and your editorial on the subject. What a wonderful country we live in. All this expression of feeling and opinion that we have access to. Of course, as the article states, getting our “facts” from many sources, as well represented on this chart, is important. To try to make sure that our opinions are well-informed by the fact/truth, we should be careful about what we read and believe.

We all have biases. Your article and Ms. Otero’s writing acknowledges that. It is important that we all, as thinking people, recognize that. Recognition is a part of critical thinking. Critical thinking should be what we all engage in when trying to find the truth. Unfortunately, some who have responded to the article seem not to acknowledge their own biases. Remember, “Where you stand depends on where you sit.”

I greatly appreciate the article and am happy that most of what I read is toward the top and roughly center of the Bell Curve expressed by the chart. Thanks again.
