Victim identified in fatal shooting

Michael “Topher” Christopher Clark, 45, of Hayden, has been identified as the victim of Sunday’s fatal shooting outside the Tipsy Pine Bar in Hayden.

Clark appears to have been shot multiple times during the incident, said the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office, in a news release.

An autopsy has been scheduled for today, but the final results will not be available for several weeks.

The suspected shooter, Scott M. White, 33, of Coeur d’Alene, was arrested on suspicion of second degree murder and booked into the Kootenai County Jail.

According to witnesses, Clark and White had been involved in a verbal altercation while inside the bar. A short time later, they both went into the parking lot where Clark was shot.
