CHART: A step to compromise

The Sunday Coeur d’Alene Press lead article and associated editorial performed a great public service. Whether we are left or right on the political spectrum, it is important for citizens to be aware of the political slant of the media they are consuming.

I doubt gaining any insight on this subject will change a citizen’s political opinions. But the suggestion alone of our taking the time to read/watch or listen to contrary opinions — with an open mind — could go a long way toward our becoming less dogmatic; maybe even open to compromise, an idea nearly extinct in America’s political discourse. Perhaps it might open more people to a centrist view, historically the strength of America.
