Water Lantern Festival coming to Post Falls
Thousands of people are expected to converge on Q’emiln Park in Post Falls Sept. 7 for a unique festival involving illuminated floating lanterns.
The Post Falls City Council this week approved a one-time request for the Water Lantern Festival, which organizers describe as an incredible experience where participants celebrate life by floating custom decorated lanterns into the water.
“It’s an opportunity for people to join together to meet their neighbors and connect with friends and family to take part in a great community event,” said Post Falls city parks manager Brian Meyers.
The Water Lantern Festival includes food trucks, music and vendors. The event has been held at locations across the country and this will its debut in the Inland Northwest.
“Water Lantern Festival is committed to producing the best experience possible for our attendees,” said event organizer Lindsay Struthers of Logan, Utah-based Water Lantern Festival. “Our team of event production experts has produced hundreds of events throughout the world with a combined total of over 1 million attendees.”
