Two commercial buildings with nine potential retail spaces are planned for The Northern development of Coeur d’Alene Place in 609 acres northwest of the Maverick business and Ramsey Road at Hanley Avenue.
The complex, with major portions under construction, comprises 240 units of Rockwood Lodge and 294 new units at The Northern Apartments with a club house, pool, playground and ample parking. The commercial suites total 10,438 square feet with flexible sizes ranging from 956 to 1,790 square feet with a drive through reachable from Ramsey Road.

Anytime Fitness opening on Sherman
Personal fitness needs are the focus of Anytime Fitness opening soon at 1116 E. Sherman Ave.
Amenities include state-of-the-art cardio equipment with touch-screen controls, a functional fitness area with small-group training and one-on-one personal training, full free-weight and strength training areas with 1,500-plus pounds of plate weights, a hydro-massage bed, individual restrooms and showers, and a multipurpose studio classroom.

The Bunker Bar opens Feb. 26
What started as a food truck (that now is on the location), The Bunker Bar is a 48-seat high-top and bar-top seating bar in the former Enoteca building at 702 N. Spokane St. in Post Falls.
Several beers on tap, cans and bottles, wine and liquors and many foods are available with darts, shuffleboard, table games and four TVs for March Madness basketball games. Hours are noon to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and noon to midnight Friday and Saturday.

Hudson’s Hamburgers closed for remodeling
This has only been one of the area’s most popular places since 1907, but Hudson’s Hamburgers, 207 E. Sherman Ave., is closed for remodeling until the end of the month.
When it reopens, Hudson’s offers hamburgers, breakfast sandwiches, pies and beverages. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. weekdays, 9:30 to 5:15 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday. Phone 208-664-5444.

- Cinnamon Lane has a “coming soon” sign at Fourth and Harrison.
- North Idaho Eye Institute has a building under construction across from the Hayden library.
- The menus in too many eateries have print that’s too small. The former Bistro on Spruce restaurant (where Syringa is now) had reading glasses at each table. That was cool.
