DALTON: Support mayor, council
Enough is enough. Support your Dalton Gardens City Council!
The Mayor and City Council have done a very good job of explaining the chaos surrounding the city and the Streeter family properties. They have gone to great lengths clearing up false accusations brought forward by those opposed to an agreement made, over forty years ago, between the city of Dalton Gardens and Jack and Marie Streeter, parents of the Streeter family. Quite frankly, that agreement is not anybody’s business unless your last name is Streeter.
Nothing about that agreement will have an effect, positive or negative, on our property values. We will not be mandated to hook up to sewer as stated, or anything else that was used as a scare tactic. It boils down to a couple of disgruntled neighbors causing a huge fuss about their back yards changing.
The upcoming vote in March to remove the Mayor and entire City Council is a joke! What’s to be gained? Any “new” Mayor and City Council will have no other choice but to honor the legal and binding agreement between Dalton Gardens and Jack and Marie Streeter.
The members that make up the Streeter family are good, decent, moral, hardworking and honest people. How sad Jack and Marie would be today if they knew what a circus their dream turned into.
It’s important that all the good people of Dalton Gardens turn out and vote to retain our Mayor and City Council on March 12.
