CDA: Parking at their peril

| February 15, 2019 12:00 AM

Yep, that would be Mayor Widmyer and council members Kiki Miller, Woody McEvers, Amy Evans and Dan English.

Downtown will be only for tourists. Sorry, but the people who live here can not afford to pay for parking to keep downtown alive and well.

Can’t afford to go to the park anymore? That’s OK. There were never enough benches around the park to sit and enjoy it anyway.

You better get ready to have people monitoring the library parking. It’s already flooded with people who use it other than to go to the library.

The paid consultant (by the city) said not to raise the fees and they refused to listen to them. Guess that was money wasted. Studies are only good if it supports your position. Maybe the consultant had to pay for parking and that influenced his study.

Let us not forget the promise of free boat parking. It’s been so long people will forget. Gee I wonder where or what company people would be able to go to to park their trailer.

Sorry, but downtown is off my map.
