The 5-foot-3 senior guard helped the Hawks qualify for state last week for the first time since 2009, as they swept the Moscow Bears in a best-of-3 series for the 4A Region 1 championship. “She has worked hard to become a complete player and a team leader,” Lakeland coach Steve Seymour said. “Defensively, she’s as good as we have. Offensively, we ask her to pass first, but she has hit her share of big shots.”
