SPORTSMANSHIP: Missing in rival game

I was attending the game between Coeur d’Alene and Lake City High School. I was sitting there watching both sides. I couldn’t believe how the coach from Lake City was allowing the girls from the basketball team to call the refs names and tell some of the things they were.

In their student section, they allowed the students to tell and try to distract the player for the free throws when there were fouls. I even heard some of the kids call the Coeur d’Alene players bitches and whores.

I think there should be some sort of discipline in this. I get they are rivals, but this was ridiculous. I would have hoped Lake City had higher standards, but apparently not. What a true disappointment to our sports community.
