Learn about the levy

| February 9, 2019 12:00 AM

Residents in the Coeur d’Alene School District can learn about the proposed two-year school levy at three presentations over the next three weeks.

Steven Cook, superintendent of Coeur d’Alene Public Schools, will talk about the levy request on the March 12 ballot, including what the current levy funds in the district and what the proposed $20 million-a-year levy would support.

The first presentation will be Tuesday, Feb. 12, from noon to 1 p.m. at the Human Rights Education Institute, 414 W. Fort Grounds Drive.

Cook also will outline the levy request during the Coeur d’Alene Education Partnership’s State of the District on Feb. 19 at 5:30 p.m. at the Innovation Collective, 418 East Lakeside Ave.

The third presentation will be Feb. 26, 5 to 6 p.m., in the cafeteria at Canfield Middle School, 1800 E. Dalton Ave.

Cook will answer questions about the levy at each event. Snacks and refreshments will be available.
