How is your emotional and physical well being?

| February 6, 2019 12:00 AM

Are your fears about your health and the choices you must make keeping you from moving forward? When these concerns stop us, we need to take an inventory of old thoughts and be open to accepting new possibilities. One way to help in this process is by journaling each day and being very specific. Create a starting point by asking, where am I now? What do I want? What is the problem? And, what do I need? Take a look at your attitude; be still and listen, and create positive affirmations to help during the process. Look for the small gifts in each day. It is often the tiny things that can be the greatest gifts and a reason to be grateful.

It is important to surround yourself with a good support team of friends and family during this time. Remember that you are not alone and, it is difficult for them as well, because they want to help. They often feel powerless because they cannot change your current circumstances. Be open and willing to listen to their input.

Find a creative outlet or a new hobby that will help bring joy into your life. It will also provide a healthy outlet for anxiety. Your biggest fear may be of what the future holds. Although it can be daunting, facing fears and reacting to your inner feeling will dissipate the fears and will move you forward. Step out and make a choice; this determination will help you find the answers beyond the fear and doubt.

The journey of natural healing is a process to strengthen us to wellness. The many physical symptoms (rash, vomiting, fever, diarrhea, etc.) may push you to the limit. Many worry and wonder if they will get through it. The good news is that these symptoms are the body’s way of warning us there is a problem and working to cleanse the body naturally. Often times when the symptoms are suppressed with chemicals, it will make the body work harder next time with a higher fever or more disease, which can lead to weakness of the autoimmune system.

You can help improve the body’s ability to detox by increasing green, leafy vegetables in your diet, including kale, spinach, cabbage and watercress. Other therapies that can be helpful are breathing exercises, laughter and massage therapy. Chiropractic care has been shown to be effective in reducing stress, because with the chiropractic adjustment the focus is on reducing irritation on the nervous system by restoring proper motion and function to a specific area of the spine. Many patients over the years report additional benefits, including a better night’s sleep and fewer colds. Chiropractors are not treating these conditions; these are the many positive side effects that occur when the body is restored to a healthier state of well-being. If we can help you in your journey to a better state of well-being, please give us a call at Natural Spine Solutions 208-966-4425 for a complimentary consultation.
