New tenant will be 'at home' in old Kmart building

| February 3, 2019 12:35 AM

The former large Kmart building at 201 W. Neider Ave. will become a new At Home store. (It’s actually spelled “at home” with no capital letters).

Billed as a “home decor superstore,” it offers furniture, rugs, bedding, bath supplies, storage, patio and garden items and lighting.

The company began in 1979 as Garden Ridge stores and later changed to “at home” stores with more than 180 outlets around the country and its headquarters in Plano, Texas. The only store in the Northwest is in Puyallup, Wash., (south of Seattle) although a new one also will come to Spokane.
