HUNTER: Got what he deserved
Let’s get to the point regarding Mr. Wiley Hunter: He rented a vehicle to bring back a load of pot from Canada. He was caught with 75 pounds of the stuff in the trunk after a traffic stop.
He was tried in court and found guilty. He was sentenced and spent 10 years in a federal prison.
Unfortunately, he suffered some serious medical issues, his wife got a divorce and he had no contact with his children while in prison. What did he think was going to happen? He needs to quit blaming the system and crying “woe is me.” Life continues. Do right and get on with it.
Lastly, did the Coeur d’Alene Press contact either the court system, the prosecutor’s office or the State Police to get the other side of the story?

Editor’s note: During its eight-month investigation, The Press contacted six sources in law enforcement and the Idaho judicial system, seeking their side of the story. Not one chose to comment. Except where noted, all the information in the article came from official court documents. The article described the evidence presented by both sides and pointed out where evidence believed to be in existence was not presented at all.
