Idaho linebacker Hall
named Academic All-District
Idaho senior linebacker Ed Hall was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District 7 First Team on Thursday, as selected and announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Hall, also named to the first team last year, joins T.J. Conley (2007 and 2008) as the only Vandal football student-athletes since at least 2001 to earn Academic All-District First Team honors in consecutive seasons.
Hall carries a 3.83 grade-point average in mechanical engineering and has 232 career tackles, including 54 this season to rank fourth on the Vandals. He was named honorable mention all-conference last year, after leading Idaho with three interceptions.
Hall’s greatest impact yet may be felt in the real world. He is working with fellow engineers and finance students, including teammate Alex Boatman, to develop the Forever Shower. A shower targeted to recreational vehicles that uses filtered, recycled water, the Forever Shower has won entrepreneurial and innovation awards across the region.
