Alexa Nina Mrgich, 23

Alexa N. Mrgich, 23, of Post Falls, Idaho, was taken from us on June 16, 2018, at 12:38 p.m. PT, in Rathdrum, Idaho. Her tragic and sudden passing was the result of a motorcycle/vehicle accident.

Born and raised in northwest Montana, Alexa was second-born to Brett and Chloe (Westwood) Mrgich. She lived with her boyfriend, Tré Cameron, in Post Falls and was currently attending Paul Mitchell The School in Spokane, Wash., while working at Bardenay Restaurant & Distillery in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Alexa found her passion in creating beauty and confidence with her cosmetology skills. The things that brought her joy were spending time with family and friends, softball, hunting, camping, anything outdoors and with 4x4 vehicles or horses, and enjoying life and laughter.

Alexa had an adventurous and strong spirit, spending the last several years living and working in North Dakota and Idaho. Alexa met and treated everyone equally: family, friends, Montana, North Dakota, Idaho, childhood friends, softball, beauty school, co-workers, those friends she “helped” through hard times or supported over the years and those that helped her. She opened her heart to all ages, all races, all backgrounds and all circumstances.

Alexa is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Nelson Westwood and Michael Mrgich; and her uncle, Mark Breinig.

Alexa is survived by her loving and supportive boyfriend, Tré Cameron; mother, Chloe Westwood; father, Brett (Monica) Mrgich; grandparents, Betty (Kelvin) Stinger and Arletta (Roger) Presnell; sister, Victoria Mrgich (Casey Wilson); brother, Jace Mrgich (Laramie McKenzie); stepsiblings, Bryan Price and Alexa’s adoring niece, Kynzlee Brynn (beloved mother, Alyssa White); Haylee (Chris) Ibach and Alexa’s adoring niece, Harper May; and Chase Price (Stacey Cooper). Extended family include step-grandparents, Casey and Nancy Kelch; aunts; uncles; cousins; and stepfamily, the Breinigs, the Barkleys, the Westwoods, the Gustafsons, the Mrgichs, the Ohlins and the Kelchs.

Alexa’s life will be remembered and celebrated with a service at 11 a.m. on July 21, 2018, at the Chapel of Praise Church of God at 79 Thistle Hollow Road, Eureka, Mont., and will be led by her step-uncles, Bridger Kelch and Joe Forrest.

In lieu of flowers, please choose to support a charity or person in need that would be close to Alexa’s heart. The logging community (MLA), children, hard-working people such as servers in restaurants, anyone in a skilled-trade school (cosmetology, mechanic, welding, plumbing, electric, lineman, etc. Use your imagination).
