MUSICAL: You've got to go

Guys and Dolls ranks at the top of my favorite American Musicals. I have seen productions from London to Ashland and from Sundance to San Mateo. The current Coeur d’Alene Summer Theater Production at the Kroc Center puts forth the best cast, choreography, costumes, lighting and production innovations to make it, by far, my favorite of all I have seen.

Don’t miss this show. It is purely American, complete with excellent dialect and diction. I fault this production solely on the engineer’s decision to make the sound level almost unbearable on Friday night. This show is chock full of one-liners, great lyrics and harmonious ensemble singing. The sound problems almost overwhelmed the night.

Go. The sound should be fixed by now. Kudos to the cast and crew.
