Prairie swept by Lewis-Clark

POST FALLS — Tanner McCliment-Call hit a solo home run in the first inning of the second game for Prairie, but the Cardinals were swept by the Lewis-Clark Twins 5-1 and 9-2 in North Idaho League play at Post Falls High on Tuesday.

The teams split a doubleheader on June 26 at Harris Field in Lewiston.

Prairie (7-23, 1-5 NIL) concludes the regular season with a doubleheader against the Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen at Thorco Field in Coeur d’Alene on Friday starting at 5 p.m.

Lewis-Clark (10-17, 3-3) hosts Coeur d’Alene (5-4, 4-0) next Tuesday, then will host the Class AA Area A tournament later next week at Harris Field.

RATHDRUM — Colton Aragon pitched a complete-game shutout and drove in three runs for Northern Lakes in a sweep of St. Maries at Gorton Field.

Jack McDonald had three hits and three runs scored in the first game for Northern Lakes.

In the nightcap, Brandon Filler and Aragon had three hits each for the Mountaineers.
