Carole Lynn Knowles Steele, 83

Carole Lynn Knowles Steele, 83, of Advance, N.C., went home to Our Lord on Nov. 24, 2016, Thanks-giving morning. Carole was born in Gunnison, Colo., on April 18, 1933, to James Merrill and Eunice Ellen Curtiss Knowles.

Carole was a homemaker until her two daughters went out on their own. She loved music, played the piano and was a decent golfer. Carole was a devoted Jesus follower. When her grandchildren came, she never hesitated to bring Jesus into life’s lessons and was “Gramma” to all their friends as well.

Carole is survived by her sister, Marva Kay Knowles Loebe and husband Robert Glenn Loebe; daughter Judy Lee Steele Moore; daughter Kathryn Steele Brehm and husband Jack Brehm; grandsons Patrick John Law, Benjamin Shane Law and Samuel William Law; granddaughter Shelly Rae Moore Egbert and husband Pete Egbert; great-granddaughter Bailey Rae Egbert; great-grandson Greye Egbert and nephew James Glenn Loebe.

Many thanks to Trinity Elms for their hearts in caring for Carole and helping us see her home.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, 2016, at Hayworth-Miller, Kinderton Chapel, in Advance. Rev. Kevin Frack will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service.
