Charlotte La Fontaine Lowe, 87

| November 22, 2016 8:00 PM

Charlotte La Fontaine Lowe, Child of God, passed away peacefully on Nov. 3, 2016, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. A native of California, Charlotte was the daughter of Claud and Viola (Luedtke) La Fontaine. She graduated from high school in Missoula, Mont., but lived the majority of her life in Southern California and Idaho.

Charlotte was a pioneer among women of her era as she became a highly successful real estate broker, and became president of Globe Financial and Investments, Corporation, as well as founder of a cutting edge organization called FIG (Financially Informed Gals). She was gifted in finding the art of the possible for her clients and created new homeowners every day through her keen insights, strategic vision and close-touch client service. She was considered in a male-dominated industry as a person of high achievement, possessing great integrity and ingenuity.

Her many accomplishments were achieved while being a single mother, and principal caregiver to her beloved son, Jon, who was challenged with autism. Charlotte subordinated most of her personal life to caring for Jon, willingly and lovingly, as she considered his condition and challenges gifts from God.

Charlotte’s faith was remarkable and she possessed a tremendous charism in intercessory prayer, routinely waking at 3 a.m. to spend hours on her knees praying for others before beginning her day. Her prayers assisted many people and thus she was considered an “angel on earth” by many for her unshakeable spirit and belief that prayer and faith in the Lord and Holy Spirit could achieve any result.

Charlotte is survived by her four children, Diana, Barbara, Janet and Jon. She has six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Charlotte has been laid to rest at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
