Update: Six children, one adult injured in crash involving school bus

Police and ambulances are responding to a collision involving a school bus and a vehicle at the intersection of Hwy 41 and Lancaster Road in Rathdrum.

Scanner chatter indicates there are injured children: "35 walking wounded" and one confirmed patient. The dispatcher previously stated four children and the driver were injured.

Lancaster Road is now shut down.

It's unknown at this time which school or schools the children were being transported from.
