PERMIT: Still haunts Stewarts

After seeing the results of the primary, I’m left to question one thing. The voters did not want to vote for Dave Stewart because he has been involved with fraud over the last two years and a few other reasons.

Now that the voters have made their choice in the Sheriff’s Office, I want to know what Ben is going to do about Dave Stewart’s wife being employed at the Sheriff’s Office.

In my opinion, all employees of the Sheriff’s Office are held to a higher standard. Teresa Stewart has knowledge and assisting in defrauding the same county she works for. I do not understand how anyone can be employed at the Sheriff’s Office when they know plain and clear that she is committing fraud. The way I see it, the Sheriff’s Office is employing a criminal.

The few voters who showed up on Tuesday made the right decision to not re-elect a criminal in Dave Stewart and now someone else needs to make a decision about his wife still holding a position with those whose job is to enforce the laws, not break them.
