Faye Schultz, 92
Passed away May 14, 2016, in Spokane Valley, Wash. Faye was a beloved mom, wife, sister, grandma and friend. She was devoted to many people over the years and maintained an adventurous spirit to the end.
Born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, on Nov. 5, 1923, to Oran and Edna (Hillis) Scott. Faye was the oldest sister to Shirley and LaDean. Her family moved several times around southern Idaho and Utah in her growing up years and Faye was deeply attached to her cousins and extended family.
Shortly after the start of World War II, Faye met and married Wauss Teague; starting their family with John. Wauss was killed in a car accident returning from war and Faye moved with John to St. Maries, Idaho, to be near her parents. Several years later, Faye married Edward (Ed) Schultz and their family grew with Linda, Kenny, Karl and Dianne.
Faye and Ed made their home in Worley, Idaho, for 53 years, about 47 of them on the family farm. Faye never met a stranger. She was active in PTA, 4-H, Worley Grange and Town & Country Club. She was known for her beautiful and prolific gardens, love of card games and penchant for dancing. Cooking came naturally to Faye and many a family gathering circled around her tables.
After Ed passed in 1992, Faye remained on the farm for several years and started snow-birding to Mesa, Ariz., in 1996. She moved to Hayden, Idaho, in 2000 and maintained friendships from many of her previous residential locations. After residing in Hayden for 11 years, she moved to Spokane Valley with her daughter, Linda. Faye loved to travel and enjoyed many extensive road trips, some oversees travel and in her later years she still jumped at the chance to “get out of the house” to go see what was happening around town, in particular loving her weekly date with her granddaughter, Kelly.
Faye was predeceased by her husband, Wauss; husband Ed; and grandsons Greg and Daryl. She is survived by her children, John (Eliza), Linda (Maurie), Kenny (Diane), Karl and Dianne; 15 grandkids; 20 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
