KINDNESS: On display in May
Heard a knock on our door Sunday morning and opened the door but no one was there. But there was a Dixie cup with flowers and wrapped candies with the message, “happy May Day.” This is a community designed for 40 or older.
I went out on the sidewalk to see who knocked and left such a thoughtful cup of kindness and it was no one I knew; it was a young mother with her youngest in a stroller and box of cups, and a young man running door to door dropping these bouquets of kindness on doorsteps of folks here who sooooo loved their kindness and thoughtfulness.
Some of our neighbors in latter years rarely have a car pull up in their driveway from family, yet here was a family wishing us all Happy May Day! Such a special mother and children. Thank you all, whoever you were.
I was an R.N. in geriatrics, thus this melted my heart to see a young and probably very busy young family care for others in such a special way.
