EVOLUTION: Think about this

| February 21, 2016 8:00 PM

There is an issue I have been thinking about for a long time that I think is more important than any political issue. The magnitude of this issue is so great that I was afraid raising it would take much more than 250 words. So I will present it with minimal detail.

I see overwhelming evidence that evolution is a fact. That, of course, creates a conflict with certain religious beliefs which results in rejection of the concept without studying it or its ramifications. So, I will present just one example of why it is important.

The physiology of humans has changed very little for thousands of years. At the same time, human creativity has created a very complicated world which, in essence, means that we are prehistoric beings living in a world that is beyond our understanding or control. Assuming that is true, the only solution I see is a cooperative effort on our part to deal with this world.

We, in fact, are doing just the opposite so we might be creating a path to our own destruction and maybe the destruction of the planet WE call home.
