Rathdrum man arrested for unlawful possession of guns

RATHDRUM — A 50-year-old Rathdrum man was arrested on Monday night for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon.

Kevin J. Rudy was arrested without incident at his home on California Street in Rathdrum.

Rathdrum Police received an anonymous tip about Rudy, a convicted felon and registered sex offender.

When officers executed a search warrant at his home, more than 20 handguns and rifles were found.

Rudy posted $50,000 bond on Wednesday to be released from jail.
