Gloria W. (Harris) Anderson-Sneed, 94

Gloria W. (Harris) Anderson-Sneed, 94, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Aug. 26, 2016, at the Hospice of North Idaho. Gloria was born on May 29, 1922, in Kismet, Kan. Gloria is survived by her two daughters, Vida Bevans, and Kathleen Linehan and son-in-law Richard Bevans; and grandsons, Chris, Jason, Travis and Nathan. Also, her brothers, Buck Harris and Ray Harris; and sister Cindy Harris, all currently reside in Colorado.

Gloria was a LPN at hospitals in Orofino and Coeur d’Alene for many years. However, the job that she always told stories about was when she was a Rosie the Riveter during World War II. She lived in Hayden and Dalton Gardens for the past 40 years. Where she truly enjoyed gardening and watching the birds and deer near her house.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary, Hayden Lake VFW Post 9831 and a member of the Kootenai County Chapter 313 of AARP including serving as their president for one year.

Her memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, at Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden Lake, Idaho. The service is open to the public.
