Fair keeps deputies hopping
Carnival workers with drugs, a stolen 8-foot stuffed lizard, stolen costume masks.
Those were just a few of the things that kept Kootenai County sheriff’s deputies busy from Wednesday through Sunday at the North Idaho State Fair.
The sheriff’s office, which provides law enforcement to the county fairgrounds, responded to 66 calls for service within the grounds. There were also more than 20 calls related to children who were separated from adults they accompanied to the fair.
