Couple arrested on drug, other charges
A man and a woman were arrested early Saturday morning when in Hayden for possession of drugs, including methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, outstanding warrants and burglary by the man, according to a press release by the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the information given by the sheriff’s office, a Kootenai County Sheriff’s deputy was conducting a security check in the area of Stoddard Park, in the city of Hayden just after 4 a.m. He reportedly saw a Jeep Cherokee next to a Hayden City Street Department vehicle. The Jeep had a funnel sticking out of its fuel tank. Next to the Jeep was a gasoline can and a siphoning hose sticking out of the Street Department truck.
The deputy found footwear that appeared to belong to a male. He also observed a woman asleep — or passed out — in the front seat of the Jeep. The deputy also reportedly saw drug paraphernalia sitting on the center console.
Once the deputy was able to wake the female, he found her clutching more drug paraphernalia. When she exited the Jeep, the deputy also found she had been sitting on a small bag that contained methamphetamine.
The female, later identified as Alyssa A. Wolff, 22, of Coeur d’Alene, was arrested on charges of possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia and an outstanding drug warrant.
Additional deputies searching around the scene located a male hiding in the area. He was later identified as Scott T. Miller, 25, also of Coeur d’Alene. Miller admitted to siphoning gasoline from the Hayden city vehicle and was subsequently arrested on charges of possession of drugs, drug paraphernalia, burglary and possession of a simulated controlled substance and an outstanding drug warrant.
Miller and Wolff will have their first appearance in court today.
