Marie Scheller Madsen, 95

Marie Scheller Madsen, 95, passed away Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.

Marie was born June 17, 1919, to Warren and Elizabeth Maine in Post Falls, Idaho. She married Irvin Scheller and they lived in the Silver Valley for 32 years. Marie was a charter member of the Silver Valley Sweet Adelines.

In 1974 Marie moved to Coeur d'Alene. She did extensive travel to foreign countries. In 1986, Marie married Glen Madsen in Hawaii. They enjoyed family, traveling, gardening, reading and their computers.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband; sister and brother-in-law. She is survived by daughter Janet Morse and her husband, Gene of Coeur d'Alene, and son James Scheller and his wife, Trish of Redmond, Ore.; stepchildren Terry and his wife, Sue Madsen of Spokane, Gary Madsen and Becky Bilodeau of Florida; nephew Harry Droshia of Osburn; four grandchildren: Debi and Rusty Price of Spokane, Dave and Denise Morse of Coeur d'Alene, Jim Scheller of Arizona and Jeff Scheller and wife of Arizona; eight great-grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
