Powers returns to oversee Hagadone food and beverage
Rick Powers is back for an encore as director of food and beverage for Hagadone Hospitality Co.
“Rick is an outstanding executive and it is a pleasure to welcome him home to oversee all our company food and beverage operations,” said Jerry Jaeger, president and co-founder of Hagadone Hospitality Co.
Powers was director of food and beverage at The Coeur d’Alene Resort and director of restaurants from April 1985 to February 2009. According to Jaeger, he initially opened The Resort and numerous other properties for Hagadone Hospitality.
For the past six years, Powers was chief operating officer of ICON and managing partner of Tadich Grill Development Co. He ran the original Tadich Grill in San Francisco and recently opened the second Tadich Grill, which is on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C.
“It is a great pleasure to have Rick coming home,” said Bill Reagan, general manager of The Coeur d’Alene Resort.
Reagan said Powers kept his home on Lake Coeur d’Alene, where he used to commute to work on his tugboat.
“Rick was great when he was previously with us, and with his latest experience with ICON and Tadich Grill in San Francisco and Washington, D.C., he will truly elevate our food and beverage operations to a new level.”
Powers entered the food and beverage industry in April 1974 at Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlor Restaurant, where he was one of the youngest managers in the company. He later joined Charlie’s Wonderful Restaurant Co., where he ran Charlie’s Bar & Grill in Bellevue, Wash.; Charlie’s Bar & Grill in San Jose, Calif.; and the Black Angus Restaurant in San Mateo, Calif. He also developed and opened Patsy Clark’s Restaurant, which became a regional favorite, in Spokane in 1982.
