The holidays can be time of great joy and celebration, but for some the season is not merry. It can be profoundly hard for people who are going through tough times. The Blue Christmas service provides an opportunity to reflect and find peace and hope through prayer and meditation.
The non-denominational service begins at 5:30 p.m. at St. Luke’s at 501 E. Wallace Ave., in Coeur d’Alene. The sanctuary will be decorated in the traditional greens. There will be an opportunity to light candles for remembrance and classic Advent songs will be played, as well as background music.
The service is open to the public.
