Cynthia Elaine Shirley, 67

Cynthia Elaine Shirley (Cindy), 67, born in Visalia, Calif. on June 19, 1948, left this earthly world Dec. 9, 2015 after a long battle with cancer.

Cindy was well loved in her field and in her community, always ready to lend a helping hand and loved her work with the elderly where she specialized in the field of Alzheimer’s. Cindy was always very proud of her Swedish heritage and loved making authentic Swedish food for her family during the holidays, She loved being outdoors, whether it was picking huckleberries, camping, fishing or going to her favorite place, the beach ... she was ready to go!

Cindy left this world peacefully with her longtime partner Ron and her daughter Dori by her side. She is survived by her partner Ron Souza of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho; daughters Dori Ramsey of Liberty Lake, Wash., Kristina Ramsey of Fresno, Calif.; grandson Arik Silva of Santa Monica, Calif; granddaughter Aryonna Silva of Coeur d’Alene; sister Cheryl McCollum and brother Terry Dodson; and mother Carol Brown of Visalia, Calif.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The loss of this caring and beautiful soul will forever be felt by those that love her and our world will never be the same. Rest in peace our sweet Angel, see you again one day. Bell Tower Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
