Hansen new bishop of Post Falls 2nd Ward

Jim Hansen, of Post Falls, was recently called to be Bishop of the Post Falls 2nd Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He and his wife Teri have lived in the area for the past eight years and are the parents of two children. He is originally from Denver, Colo., and was raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho where he graduated from Skyline High School. Bishop Hansen served a two year mission to the Tennessee Nashville Mission and graduated from the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. He is a registered nurse. He originally came to Kootenai County in the employ of Kootenai Health, where he promoted nursing and nursing education in the Coeur d’Alene area.

He is presently employed by Washington State University.

Nick Rahlf, of Post Falls will serve as 1st Counselor to Bishop Hansen. He and his wife Ashley have lived in the area for eight years and are the parents of five children. Nick is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio where he was raised and graduated from Lakota West High School in West Chester, Ohio. He served his two year mission in the Denmark Copenhagen Mission and received his degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Nick is the Hotel general manager of AmeriTel Inn Inc.

Jeffery Lunnen, of Post Falls is 2nd counselor. He and his wife Joni have lived in the area for the past 17 years and have 4 children. Jeff is originally from Heron, Mont. Growing up in a military family, he was raised all over the country. He graduated from Noxon High School in Noxon, Mont. and served a two year mission to the California, Fresno Mission. Jeff is a carpenter by trade and is self employed.

The Ward Executive Secretary is Jordan Zobell and the Ward Clerk is Derral Foster. Post Falls 2nd Ward meets every Sunday at 11 a.m. (9 a.m. beginning Jan. 3) at the 16th Street Building.
